Summer, during this and in no other time of the year do people feel the urge to drop everything, put on their bikini swimwear and just rush off to the beaches to plunge into the cool waters or work on their tan. If only things were that simple. If only the beach was a short drive away or that there were no kids to worry about or that there were no budget constraints. Well, why not? With some quick wit, you don’t have to worry about time or money or your kids, you can enjoy summer right in your backyard, at the comfort of your own home.

If you don’t have enough time or means to travel to the beaches, you can set-up your own summer ‘getaway’ without really getting away.

Set up your garden with lounge straw chairs, thatch or cool mats; wear your bikini swim wear to catch the perfect tan. Take frequent dips in your pool, if you don’t have one, don’t despair- resort to wearing cool summer clothes and keep on fending off the heat with chilled drinks and fresh fruit shakes.

A big advantage about doing this in your own backyard is that you don’t have to travel too far away or worry about watching your kids. They could even enjoy the summer sun with you. Staying home also makes you more comfortable to put on that daring bikini swimwear that’s been tucked away for so long. And let’s not forget the wonders this does to your savings.
